How to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others on IG

Comparison is super tough and is a total joy thief, but it’s so easy to go down the comparison hole while on IG with so many people sharing their successes. While most of the time we can celebrate others and their success, and we also remember that we still see more success and life-lights than not, sometimes its hard not to get caught up in comparing.

Here are 3 steps to banishing comparativitus!

//01

Mute

Unfollow or mute any accounts that make you feel crap about yourself. Muting is a really great alternative to unfollowing especially if they’re a friend or someone you know.

But also, most of us have also had our accounts for some time now too. So its natural that as we grow and change, who and what we follow on IG changes with the times too. Having the odd spring clear here and there of what fills your feed feels great.

Expanders

Pick your Expanders as coined by @tobemagnetic. Expanders are people who you can look up to who are doing what you want to be doing and who inspire you.

Feel Good Albums

Create a Feel Good Album on your phone of memories, positive messages and reviews you’ve received that you can dip into whenever you start to feel a bit crappy! Give yourself a little boost.
